Letterpress Poster Printing Workshop with Green Machine Creative - 27th September
What’s Your Love Language? Create prints that bring you joy!
We all have our own way of expressing love - through food, gifts, gestures, or even plants! In this fun and playful hands-on letterpress workshop, participants will create and hand-print their own mini edition of four A4 posters celebrating their unique “Love Language”.
The workshop will take place in The Loft at Rutland Nursery, a welcoming creative space perfect for an inspiring hands-on experience.
Led by Lucy Douglas, Founder of Green Machine Creative, a letterpress studio based in Melton Mowbray, this workshop offers the opportunity to explore the traditional craft of letterpress printing using a vintage printing press and beautiful old woodtype.
The workshop will begin with a short introduction to the art of letterpress, including how the press works and a chance to discover the equipment and materials. Participants will then choose from a selection of vintage woodtype letters to create their own “Love Language” word, arrange the type within a prepared format, learn how to ink the press, and print four copies of their very own A4 posters to take home.
No previous printing experience is needed - just bring your creativity and curiosity.
