Join us at golden-hour in our beautiful courtyard here at Rutland Nursery for a fabulous evening in company of live-fire trailblazer Genevieve Taylor and her book, How to BBQ – The Definitive Guide to Fire Cooking—widely hailed as the modern BBQ bible, with a chance to win one of three YETI Roadie 15 Cool Box in ‘Rescue Red’.
One of the UK’s leading live-fire chefs, Genevieve will take you beyond the basics with a blend of expert insight, hands-on technique and bold, flavour-first thinking. Expect a lively talk paired with a live demo, designed to spark confidence and elevate your cooking over flame.
With over two decades of experience, fourteen cookery books to her name, and her Bristol Fire School drawing devoted followers, she’s as authoritative as she is inspiring. Add in her work across the UK and internationally, plus roles with Weber, YETI, the AEAP, Parrilleras Internacionales and the World Barbecue Association, and we’ve got some serious firepower in the courtyard.
Doors open from 6:30pm, with complimentary wine and nibbles served as the fire (and conversation) gets going, before settling in for the main event. Whether you’re a total beginner or already fluent in fire, come ready to learn, taste, and lean into the smoky side of cooking. We’ll finish with a Q&A and book signing, so you can leave fired up and ready to cook.
