Rutland Nursery Ticket Portal

Authors in Conversation: Mary Berry; 10th March 2026

Dame Mary Berry, beloved cook, TV star and lifelong gardener, will be at Rutland Nursery’s The View to celebrate her new book, My Gardening Life. This will be a rare opportunity to hear Mary share the stories, insights and passions that have shaped her life in the garden.

In her memoir, Mary takes readers through her gardening journey - from the tiny childhood plot in Bath where her father’s seed packets first sparked her curiosity, to the shaded corners of her London home, and finally to her flourishing Oxfordshire garden. Packed with personal anecdotes and practical gardening tips, the book also includes contributions from gardening friends including Alan Titchmarsh, Sarah Raven and Bunny Guinness.

At Rutland Nursery, Mary will have an intimate interview with Chris Young, our in-house host, followed by a relaxed Q&A session, giving guests the chance to ask their own gardening questions.

Tickets are available either as standard entry, or as a ticket with Mary’s new book, My Gardening Life, which will be personally signed by her in advance. 10% of ticket sales will be donated to Mary’s chosen charity Horatio's Garden Stoke Mandeville.

Event schedule:
6:45 pm – Doors open; welcome drink* & canapés
7:30 pm – Interview with Mary Berry
8:15 pm – Q&A and questions from the floor
8:45 pm – Event ends

This will be a warm, inspiring evening celebrating a national treasure, the joy of gardening, nature and being outdoors.
