Festive Letterpress Card Printing Workshop with Green Machine Creative - Sunday 23rd November
Green Machine Creative returns to Rutland Nursery for a festive edition of their hands-on letterpress card printing workshop.
Using vintage Adana tabletop presses and traditional wood and metal type, participants will learn how to print their own mini-edition of five beautifully crafted, 2-colour letterpress cards from a collection of designs brought by Lucy. This is a chance to experience the tactile quality and craftsmanship of a centuries-old technique that digital printing simply can’t replicate.
Led by Lucy Douglas—founder of Green Machine Creative and a designer with over 15 years’ experience—this workshop is ideal for those with an interest in printmaking, typography, or handmade stationery.
Workshop Highlights:
- Introduction & Equipment Overview– A guided walkthrough of the tools, presses, and materials.
- Preparation & Printing Process– Try your hand at ink mixing and colour matching before learning how to print your own set of Festive cards
- Finishing Touches– Complete your cards by printing the reverse, trimming corners, and pairing them with envelopes.
All materials and equipment are provided, along with festive refreshments throughout the session.
